I am grateful for the opportunity we had as a White Oak family to take the last nine weeks to study the Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
What work do you want the Holy Spirit to do in you in this season? His goal is to mature you in Jesus and nurture you into becoming more like him. I encourage you to take a couple minutes right now to read a bit more of Galatians. Read chapter 5 in its entirety. Paul juxtaposes life lived in the flesh vs. life walking with the Spirit of God. Life in the flesh has two faces to it. One, the use of religion and good works which we hope will qualify us for heaven. Two, following our own paths of sinful desires, pride, and lack of love for others instead of God’s desires.
Life in the Spirit is trusting God’s Spirit to mature you to become more like Jesus. What work do you think he wants to do in you so that he can do something through you this season?
We are in an exciting season of ministry impact right now. We are asking the Spirit to mature us in Generosity as we:

White Oak’s Global Impact Ministry is also giving a gift of $5000 to Matthew 25 to help with relief. Thank you for helping to make that happen because of your obedience to Jesus through generosity.
We’re also asking the Spirit to grow and nurture us in Community:
I’m inviting you to join us for a discovery meeting about Life Group leadership. You can investigate what it looks like to facilitate a small group at White Oak and serve by creating spaces for people to build relationships in community and helping them to connect to Jesus. We need many new spaces this fall for new people to connect!
You can register to attend either of the two discovery events in August by clicking below.
Coming soon, you will have the opportunity to join in community at White Oak by being a part of a Life Group. I’m challenging you to be in a group this fall and ask the Spirit to nurture and grow you through community in this coming season.
I am excited for the things God is doing and the ways he is challenging us to trust in his sovereignty. He is good. He is in control. His view is higher and better. Join me in asking the Spirit of God to do the big and powerful things in us so that he can do his work through us.
Asking Him,
Nathan
